Hi love! Spring has sprung! At least here in Oklahoma. Daffodils are blooming, bugs are humming and my Birkenstock sandals have made their annual debut. My desire to eat all the cheese is waning as my appetite for spring greens is rising. . 

If you know me, you know I’m passionate about natural self-care. After college, I studied yogic lifestyle and Ayurveda, the traditional Hindu system of medicine, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and uses diet, herbal treatment, and yogic breathing. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.

Discovering and stating your true desires is something most folks never do. It’s vulnerable to dive into the heart and there are no guarantees. So many of us stay in the safe zone. Getting by with “just enough” pleasure to sustain us. But pleasure is abundant and ripe for the picking! Diving into pleasure often leads to more fulfillment in relationships, work and life. Better sex is just the tip of the iceberg!

I’ve been enjoying some much deserved bathrobe and soup time during this season of hibernation. Taking time to do nothing is a practice that I hold dear.

It was a day much like one of these last year that I had the insight of becoming a Master Receiver. As someone who was used to burning out regularly, putting so much energy into projects and people that I crash and burn, the idea of receiving more sounded luxurious. How could I let life spoil me?
